I apply my background in psychology to improve the accessibility of type, both in Latin and in other world scripts. I also work to understand user patterns, like identifying preferences (or irrational hatred) toward any typographical shape before it’s too late.

I do this alongside my great colleagues at Typotheque, a Dutch type foundry heavily interested in research, and more recently also with the Centre for Visibility Design, a public research lab in Denmark. To get here I completed a MSc in Applied Cognitive Psychology at the University of Utrecht, building on a Bachelor’s in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Manchester.

Beyond my core work, I also engage in creative output. My portfolio there is varied, and it's best explained by browsing it. Some other things I’m proud of include founding Contraforma, a community to foster typographic culture in Barcelona; and starting accessibility.tools (wip), a platform to help designers make informed decisions using easy-to-use tools.
